Case study project comprises of construction of a multi-purpose Music, Art and Drama teaching facility in conjunction with asbestos removal, structural alteration and refurbishment of a new Learning Resources with well equipped library and I.T. facilities for sixth form students.
The new building features a Glulam and timber frame structure, Rigidal standing seam roof, timber framed and brickwork cavity walls and Comar aluminium windows and curtain walling complemented by Rockpanel external fascia and soffit cladding. The re-modelling and refurbishment works to the existing library area was carried out to a strict programme during the summer holiday period to enable occupation by pupils at the start of the new term.
